Lageder Pinot Bianco 2011

Lageder 2010 Pinot Bianco, Dolomiti
If pear blossoms were sweet and fragrant like floral Anjou pears, this would be the nectar by which honeybees would chart their Spring course. On the palate an aroma lifts reminiscent of strawberry confectionaries but the wine is dry and bright, freshly polished and as refreshing as water –yet another reason that Alois Lageder is a great producer. This is sustainable Pinot Bianco unique to Alto Adige and only weighs in at 12.5% so earns a stall in that prized stable of wines ever ready to pull up their chair to the dinner table –thank you again Alois!
Wine review by Nicholas D. Livingston, January 2012

A nose of white flowers with a little vanilla custard and a tinge of citrus. The palate is creamy with a bit of brioche and a lemon-lime finish. 12.5% Alc.
