Argyle Brut 2008

Biscuity brioche notes reveal the rich and brawny Pinot Noir in this vintage, weighing in QT 63%. Roundly ripened Chardonnay makes up the balance lending lemon curd and buttery croissant scents that dance on an invigorating palate and lift into an expansive finish of leesy orchard fruit that shimmers long after each sip. ABV 13%

Lovely brioche along with cidery apples and pears lift through the lovely mousse on this lovely dry sparkler. Flavors of poached pears are carried along a palate that’s bright, clean and fresh. There’s a talc and a nuance of lime leaves above it all too that lends even more clarity to the finish. Delicious as always, the 2008 is more textural and Champenoise than the other recent years proving once again how compelling Argyle sparkling wines are year after year.
