Argyle Blanc de Blancs 2008

Planted in 1990, Julia Lee’s Block is the choice upper slopes of the Knudsen Vineyard -the perfect plot for Dijon clone Chardonnay bound for Argyle’s Blanc de Blancs –the finest Oregon sparkling wine to yet wet these lips. This is a picture of elegance with lemon peels, talc and toasty apple pastry. Mouth filling and quenching, sating and haunting, the palate covers all orchard fruits from apples and pears to quince and tangerines. Tangy lemon curd keeps all bright and buoyant. A lovely Blanc de Blancs according to one who loves Blanc de Blancs.
