Croze Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

Tasting Notes:
The 2013 Croze Cabernet Sauvignon, Oakville displays classic notes with a rich complexity. This wine is a beautiful balance of red and dark fruit character along with all the earth aroma’s that make Oakville such a special place for cabernet. The aromas are reminiscent of an early morning stroll through a briary blackberry patch with hints of tobacco and plum. On the finish there are spice notes of licorice and anise with a subtle cigar box charm followed by cocoa powder tannins. This is approachable now, but will age gracefully for many years.

Vineyard Notes:
CROZE Cabernet Sauvignon follows the Croze philosophy of balance and elegance. Here is a wine with its roots deep in the cult growing area of Oakville, and its pedigree is long. These grapes are organically farmed in one of the most prestigious vineyards in the Oakville AVA. The Money Road Vineyard is known for producing some of the valley’s greatest cabernets.

Production Notes:
725 Cases of this wine were produced.

Winemaker Notes:
Winemaker Daniel Benton’s emphasis on balance and elegance is showcased in this lovely, Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon. Its Bordeaux heritage is evident in the finesse and finish. While imminently drinkable now, it has the structure to be aged for as long as you can stand to wait.
