Paitin Dolcetto Sori Paitin 2010
Ah, Dolcetto. You love it or hate it. Or do you? Is there a middle ground for Dolcetto but unfortunately you don't find it too often ... the strange balance between the strict black fruit of Dolcetto's aromas and the bracing acidity this grape is known for. The Paitin 2010 does the job with terrific aplomb. Balanced and fresh, with a bright light to medium balance with nifty licorice and herbal components under all the super fresh black currant. Just a great wine, and ideal for enjoying with a plate of cured meats and delicious cheeses (including stinky cheeses such as some you can find in the area this wine is from, Piedmonte in Northwestern Italy).
