Inama Soave Classico Vigneti Foscarino 6/750 2013

Good grief this is glorious Garganega! Pergola trained on the southerly eastern slope of Monte Foscarino this is a wine like those that lured us all into her charms in the first place in days of old. 40 year old vines offer plenty of rich character unique to the Garganega variety -and sapid enough to warrant barrique ageing. There is that dulcet golden apple fruit and all that exotic iris floral tone but also a chirping texture from 8 to 10 hours on its skins extracting a chamomile complexity and a leesy dimension putting this richer, gently oxidative style into a class of its own yet keeping true to the traditions of Soave Classico at its best.
