Elsa Cabernet Sauvignon 2011
One reads of Cabs with the ripe scents of soft currants or crème de cassis and yet seldom do these apply –certainly like this plush little wonder. On the palate it is more pomegranate and acai berry juice that makes for the most refreshing full bodied, dry red I’ve had in a long time. For all these soft sided charms, this does show some savory spice too and has enough tannins to brace against a rich roast. 14.1

Food Pairings
Meat, meat, meat but especially lamb and beef. Game birds, duck, goose, squab. Anything with lots of rosemary.
