Blacksmith Chenin Blanc 2008
From the Sassoon Valley in the North Coast and made from 50 year old Old Vine Chenin Blanc at 13.5% - this wine is amazing. Flinty with loads of melon, honeydew and white peaches. Wonderfully rich with a posture of mineral strength. Soft and luxourious with a great lingering acid. Sweet melons and a creamy patience. If I can quote Mr. Paul Daggett . . . “God, is that good Chenin!” . . . I would have to agree, Paul!
