Blacksmith Late Harvest Syrah 2006

This wine begins with hot cinnamon notes on the nose reminiscent of childhood red hots. Very directed in the mouth with an undertone of bacon and savory meats. There's a finish with a beautiful lift and chewy caramel notes -indulge in this wine.

Blackberry pie right out of the oven! Chocolate, smoke, sweet acidity. -PC

93% Syrah; 7% Tannat. Fermented in 1-ton bins and gently punched down by hand to ensure high-quality tannins. Aged in a combination of new and used barrels with the goal of highlighting the varietal character of Syrah. A 7% addition of Tannat adds a host of exotic spices to the nose and richens the overall mouthfeel.
