La Cana Navia Albarino 2017

A vividly bright hue of pale yellow with the tinges of green that promise engaging briskness in a wine. There is a lovely entry of freshly sliced pears embellished by a squeeze of lime juice. The citrus flavours take it from here all the way through the finish; this is truly flavour not simply the tart characteristic of citrus fruits. Slight, teasingly under ripe green grape flavours create the fresh enjoyable, lip smacking finish. Alcohol 13%. Note by LAC. January 16, 2012.

Expert Review

90 Points - "Bodegas La Cana’s 2010 Albarino was fermented in stainless steel 80%) and larger barrels (20%) and aged sur lie. Mineral, lemon zest, baking spices, and floral notes inform the nose of this round,
smooth-textured, savory white. With excellent volume and length, this outstanding value will provide pleasure for another 3-4 years."
