Muga Rioja Reserva- Unfiltered 2007

Nice dark black cherry color, very pretty and intense. Aromas of perfectly harmonious black raspberry and dark cherry with all sorts of wonderful stuff late in the aromas: clove spice, allspice, some black pepper, and a hint of licorice. Just wonderfully intense but not overpowering. On the palate the rush comes forth with great intensity, grabbing your palate and not letting go until you swallow, exhale, and wait for about a minute. It's all about old Spain, all about the intensity but the detail and polish. Just great stuff. Clean old world wine with great intensity and balance.
