Vega Sindoa Cabernet 2007

Cabernet Sauvignon produces wines of intensity and depth of flavour. Classically, these flavours are cassis, plum, black cherry and anise. Herb, olive, mint, tobacco and cedar are often associated with Cabernet Sauvignon wine, as well. If Merlot is a constituent in the wine these nuances are brought forward. The firm tannins of Cabernet often need some time to soften. This barrel aging this also lets the wine pickup character from the wood, usually vanilla and buttered toast.

Expert Review

89 Points - "Bright ruby. Spicy red- and blackcurrant aromas are complemented by deeper notes of dark chocolate and tobacco. Very cabernet in character but more filled in than one expects at this price point, offering sweet cherry and dark berry flavors and a jolt of spicy herbs. Very fresh on the finish, which repeats the cherry and spice notes. I'd love to see this next to almost any Napa cabernet selling for double or even triple this price."
