Boutisse Saint-Emilion Grand Cru 2009

70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon planted to chalky clay plateau of Saint-Christophe des Bardes, this was hand harvested and then aged 12 to 18 months in oak casks. Savory grilled black plum comprise this wine’s core fruit, while cinnamon and baking spices meld all around. This is true Bordeaux that took the table by storm and was the guests favorite among a lineup of a dozen or so alternatives.
