Chanson Chablis 2013

The village of Chablis, located in the northernmost district of Burgundy, is known for producing steely, crisp wines with intense green-appley acidity and a firm, mineral backbone. Domaine Chanson makes a plot-based selection on hills ideally mostly located in south of the village.

2013 Vintage
After a long winter and a gloomy spring, the summer was warm and sunny but with intervals of violent hail storms. The harvest took place in the last days of September under a bright sunshine. The difficult weather conditions at the beginning of the year and the hail storms have considerably impacted the yields in most of the wine regions but quality is there. The white wines are tense with citrus fruit aromas and a well-shaped acidity.

Tasting note
Pale gold color. Delicate floral fragrances mixed with aromas of grape fruit on a subtle minerality. Pure and well-crafted. Good structure. Refreshing mineral finish, straight and of good length.
