Damase Bordeaux Superior 2009

Deep ruby with a heady nose of violets and a palate ripe with the typical notes one finds on such delicious Bordeaux Merlot [think plums, violets and truffles] with a rich complexity and flexing structure that closes round on the finish. A small portion of Carmenère brings ripe cherry fruit to round this out further. Here's a Merlot of right bank character worthy of setting the table.

Food Pairings

Think right bank Bordeaux: red meat, game, lamb, cheese... or is the more apropos verb "dream" of right bank Bordeaux...
