Drouhin Brouilly 2016

Deep color and fragrant of red fruit ranging from raspberries to strawberries with a nice fresh edge of strawberry leaves. Gently tannic and moderately acidic, this is Brouilly bearing its chummy coquettish side –a lovely way to spend an afternoon, a picnic luncheon, a great way to begin an evening’s feasting or end a long day with a charcuterie plate. Lovely Brouilly showing Gamay in this Cru’s character as one of the fruitier, easier going, immediately appealing Cru Beaujolais available. From the granite, limestone and clay of the Brouilly valley floor, these are softer and chummier and ready to amuse.
