Drouhin Vaudon Chablis 2008

Drouhin does a fine job of swinging both legs around the style of certainly crisp, mineral, detailed Chablis but with a fuller body. This 2007 village Chablis is quite taut with lead-pipe mineral, flinty-smoke and a savory hazelnut note. There is a little lemon, orange and sea-spray too. This is nothing short of an excellent value. -BH (tasted February 2009)
