Drouhin Laforet Pinot Noir 2010

A lovely fair complexion, a lofty fragrance of red fruit on the nose, and juicy red cherries and crunchy red berries, orange rinds, and fine knit tannins altogether on the palate make a lovely little red appellation Burgundy. Juicy and bright, this is a perfect snappy red for hors d’oeuvres or rich appetizers because its refreshing structure will cut through oils and fats leaving the palate refreshed.
Wine review by Nicholas Livingston, April 2013

"A wine full of charm: bright ruby colour and a nose rich with aromas of red fruit (raspberry, red currants, wild strawberry). On the palate, the wine is pleasant, fruity and refreshing, with light tannins and great elegance".

Food Pairings

Drink it when young, up to two or three years. We suggest serving Laforet at 59° F-61° F. Easy to match with food, it will be best with assorted deli meats, poultry, white meat, "au gratin" dishes, roasted meat and soft cheese.
