Drouhin Vaudon Chablis 2011
Bright and lively are words that often are attributed to Chablis, along with minerally and dynamic. This wine is, therefore, showing textbook Chablis style. White peach, wet stone, and a touch of pineapple are all prevalent, but with all the aromas wrapped together ... this is showing complexity beyond its price point. The taste is, yet again, textbook. Slightly grainy and pointed, all in a good way, emphasizes the 'Chablis-ness' of this wine. I really wish I had a sauteed scallop in front of me right now. Yum.
