Eyzaguirre Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Tacsante 2012 Ghiaia Nera Nerello Mascalese, Sicilia DOC | 13.5% | SOS tain Sustainably Certified | From the volcanic slopes of northern in the contradas Sciaranova and Boccadorzo-Randazzo near Catania – Sicily, this is 100% Nerello Mascalese pure and beautiful. Fermented 12 months in enormous Sicilian foudres measuring 1600 gallons, this Sicilian red is charming and unique in all the world. Ripened soft red cherries, fine burnished tannins, and a green tobacco leaf charm quietly keeping fine company to these. Expansive on the tongue and polished and smooth. Really deft tannins far from shouting or flexing but with a firm tone and a strong grip. This is a resonant red whose nose and palate are like a reflection in a still pool at twilight; each reflects the other but in that flattering fashion of crepuscular light in the way we all look our best in thorough candlelight.

Meat, meat, meat but especially lamb and beef. Game birds, duck, goose, squab. Anything with lots of rosemary.
