Fattori & Graney Soave Class 2010

An engaging wine for making out in the grass, this is not the Soave from the era of gingham tablecloths and pizza pie houses. No. This is fresh and sudden and inviting with lovely aromas and pristine fruit and floral top notes which, along with its refreshing citrusy acids, are Fattori’s consistent telltale charms -and true to the Garganega variety when kept to low yields. Having gone from the Bordeaux bottle to a sloped shouldered Burgundy shape with a progressive screw cap closure, the Danieli Soave is always as invigorating as ever –like an impromptu roll in the grass en plein air. Next time you pack a picnic basket, stow away some of this on dry ice; the world will never be the same and neither will you. There’s no other Soave like Fattori –the wine inspires!
