Figueirasse Gris de Gris Rose 2010

Before any purple prose compels me to gush about this rosé (as it's among my favorites in a dearly loved category) a word on alcohol content: 12.5%! That's all -and how refreshing. This rosé is quenching like water and melon rinds and all the coolest summer kisses that muffled all the surrounding sights and sounds and left you mindful of only that present moment when the entire world was summed up in you and your young crush and that unexpected kiss that came while spitting watermelon seeds in the shade of a mighty tree. That may have never happened but rosé like this are compelling and romantic sentiments well up in a cheerfully nostalgic way. I love Figueirasse yet again this new vintage -and to think these vines are planted in the sands of southern France!
