Foreau Vouvray Sec 2008

No words can sum up the character exuding from this well structured glass of Foreau Vouvray. The nose surely expresses citric apples and waxy dried pears with that telltale lofty, textured scent of lanolin with overtones of honeyed apricots but you soon realize Domaine du Clos Naudin imparts as much as Chenin Blanc or even Foreau himself. The first sip strikes you like a deserved and welcomed slap across the face with a snappy, sopranino acidity combining with the elegant orchard fruit of the nose to make for a serene sort of experience overall -this is a wine that makes one take pause and reflect on the sublime combination amounting to wine; one of time, the land, fruit and the able hands of people that know just how to orchestrate it all.
