Enrique Foster IQUE Malbec 2015
Ah Malbec a la Argentina –with Mendoza’s sunny Luján de Cuyo the ying to France’s Cahors’ yang. Riper blackberries and softer sided fleshy fruit being the Argentine answer with cola spice and a root beer barrel scents augmenting the smoky plums on the palate –richly structured but softer and gentler than the zippy more architectural Malbec of Cahors. This is a sipping wine to serve as a cocktail or a burger on the patio –delicious and unassuming.
