Francois Cotat La Grande Cote Sancerre 2019

One of the superstars for Sancerre, Cotat remains on his game with the 2007 Culs Beaujeau. Plenty of crushed oystershell, sea salt and gin like notes in the nose are followed by searing lemon and grapefruit, and firm acids to finish. While still slightly closed upon this review, this wine will develop into another classic beauty. Best paired with shellfish.-CM (tasted February 2009)

White fish, shellfish, oysters, chicken. Asparagus, cilantro, artichokes, salads. Lemony or garlicy things.
