Gaillard 2012 Saint-Joseph Blanc, Rhône | 13.5% |100% Roussanne, this Saint-Joseph gorgeous white of the Northern Rhône is fragrant with wisps of blossom, a minty herbal edge and a tangy firm stone fruit like a peach that’s just ripened and still firm but fragrant and perfumed with a saline mineral edge on the finish. Cradled eight months in Allier and Nevers oak casks (5% new), this exceptional Roussanne receives bâtonage once a week to round out while preserving all the mineral snap and lift -a real treat.
