Graziano Petite Sirah 2013
Petite in the name probably refers to the size of its berries. Small berries have high skin to juice ratio which produce wines that are big, flavourful and tannic. Often dark and brooding wine with black pepper in the nose and lots of fruit, particularly plum and blackberries, in the mouth Petite Sirah displaying a rounder, brighter impression than Syrah. Though it doesn't have the prestige of Syrah, I find it very engaging and am rarely disappointed.
Food Pairings
Roasted meats such as lamb and beef or hearty venison stew bring out the true flavors of this wine.
