Guigal Gigondas 2009
Guigal Gigondas 2009 (ABV 14%): Wicked purple hue makes one immediately stand up and notice this wine. Notes of apricot and licorice on the nose. My goodness is that a meaty palate, it’s like snapping in to a Slim Jim. Long elegant finish and an afterglow that reminds of the powerful and racy body and soft tannic structure. Wil said, “this wine makes me want to pull pork”, I concur.
