Hofer ROSE Zweigelt 2014

H & M Hofer 2014 Zweigelt Rosé, Weinland, Weinviertel Austria | 12.5% | Organic Zweigelt as a bright snappy rosé is nothing short of scrumptious. Tangerine citrus greets the nose with a lovage notes –that herb that brightens stocks and salads with a celery like fragrance and zip. This is every bit as fresh as it is appetizing with a polished texture for such a invigorating structure. On the palate the fruit really widens the horizon with ripe red fruits and a tangy charm unto itself -and as quenching as balled watermelon and mint dripping with cool juices. While I enjoy many rosés, if one were to omit my sparkling wine from what I buy this has been the most usual suspect in my personal purchasing history in 2015 so I guess I cannot recommend this highly enough. When you find this –pounce at the opportunity as it is an absolute delight to drink.
