Obalo Rioja Crianza 2007
50 to 60 year old hillside vines, 12 months in new French oak, also spends 1 year in bottle before release. Very dark color for Tempranillo, spicy nose shows some black pepper and raspberry, silky texture with red berry flavors, finishes fairly soft but good length.

Very versatile. The better cuts of lamb. Most any meat braised or stewed. Game birds and poultry, especially duck.
