Chateau Sergant Lalande de Pomerol 2008

Here’s a right bank Bordeaux that is worthy of its Medaille d’Or. Cabernet Franc’s telltale fragrance along with the bright plum skins of Merlot lead the way into a smoky nose. Red currants and red plums make from a stunning Bordeaux core of fruit with a certain acidity that is both appetizing and fresh and the gentle wood smoke on the finish engages the whole palate.
