Finca Nueva Rioja Crianza 2007

Aromas of earth and cloves. Classic tempranillo leather, cherries, and dust, restrained oak. The lingering finish moves into the world of sweet cherry and berry and doesn't let go. Definatelay a Rioja tempranillo and recognizable as such. Old-world pleasure that doesn't break the bank.

89 Points - "Allende’s red wines begin with the 2006 Finca Nueva Crianza made of 100% Tempranillo. Purple-colored with aromas of violets, spice box, and blackberry, on the palate it is ripe with excellent volume and savory flavors. It is a lot of wine for the money. Drink it over the next 3 years."

Very versatile. The better cuts of lamb. Most any meat braised or stewed. Game birds and poultry, especially duck.
