Giesen Riesling 2008
Clover, honey and citrus are a friendly welcome to this wine that pours forth similar flavors generously with a touch of honeyed sweetness kept honest by the crisp snappy wit of the sort of acid found in yellow grapefruit. With a mineral line to frame the scented fruit and a faint petrol bouquet on the finish, this is a delicious and refreshing example of the charming Rieslings of New Zealand.
