On the palate there are more fruit notes, particularly apple and pear. The palate is round and displays attractive freshness. This wine is balanced, pleasant and persistent on the palate. This is a Grand Blanc de Garde. Its style is classic Meursault.” To my palate this is crystalline without edge, penetrating without force, consuming without regret, while this wine engages the senses with fresh taut melon fragrance, orchards of fruit upon mineral bedrock –but all in an equipoise unique to Javillier.
