Jim Barry Cover Drive Cabernet Sauvignon 2010

Dense scents of blackberries and black currants curl with twists of curing tobacco leaves –as much flavors as they are aromas with juicy acidity a lively structure and balanced tannins both sure footed but rather polished in a fine and supple texture with a finish doing the famed Coonawara proud. Coonawara is famed for its Terra Rossa “Cigar Strip” which seems purposely placed for wine making with rich red soil atop a limestone subsoil. Brown spices, thick skinned berries and as fragrant a finish as one could hope to find. Let there be grill marks on whatever you pair with this and life will be merry.

Food Pairings

Meat, meat, meat but especially lamb and beef. Game birds, duck, goose, squab. Anything with lots of rosemary.
