Coltibuono Cancelli Sangiovese/Syrah 2009

Color is bright red raspberry in the glass, with an aroma to match. Raspberry and cherry dominate, with slight touches of leather and white pepper. The Sangiovese seems to jump out first, and the Syrah kicks in half way through. Taste is firm, with high toned Tuscan acidity and good grip. Needs food to complement it, something like slow roasted wild boar over hardwood coals.
