Coltibuono Chianti Cetamura 2010

In the world of affordable Chianti, this shows a combination of plushness and crunchy cranberry and black cherry that is rarely found at this price point. Badia a Coltibuono is a stellar top notch producer who is fanatical about making their wines in a natural, hands off way. It shows. medium bodied, balanced, straightforward, and beautiful. Ideal with roasted poultry and grilled hamburgers. And of course pizza.

90% Sangiovese 10% Canaiolo this wine even smells velvety! Spicy and engaging this is fragrant of cherries both fresh and baked and is so completely Italian it will ring all the bells you’re looking for in Italian reds. Bright and chewy, cherry pit tannins, and clove driven mulling spices mulled with orange rinds, this is persistent all the way through the finish –as Tuscan as can be.
