Quick to plant Chardonnay in cooler sites, Chile enjoys great success from long, slow ripening yielding great concentration that often express aromas of apple, melon, butter and flavours of honey dew, stones and citrus. For all their fruit, such Chilean Chardonnay offer a depth of structure often lacking in other new world attempts and using indigenous yeasts are making regional differences even more compelling.
