Marco Felluga Merlot 2009
Nice nose, nuanced decidedly toward pitted and cane fruits on a warm summer afternoon. This is really surprising, pleasantly so, as the Merlot from this region typically smell of herbs and olives. More depth of flavour, too. A patina of leatheriness adds complexity to the fruit. Excellent structure with tannin and acid emerging to assure you of the wines youth and potential. Red fruit in a really engaging, fresh, energizing way. 13.5 Alcohol. Notes by LAC. April 16, 2012.
Food Pairings
Most any meat; really, lamb, beef, pork, chicken, duck. Has an affinity for tomatoes and mushrooms.
