85% Tempranillo, 10% Garnacha tinta, 5% Graciano from low yielding, 15 to 25 year old vineyards -85% from the clay limestone of Rioja Alta and 15% from the ferrous Rioja Alavesa. Aged 12 months in oak -60% French and 40% American ranging in equal portions between new, 2, 3, and 4 year old barrels and then another 12 months in bottle before release, this is classic Crianza of the highest order. Deep, ruby red colour. Fresh bouquet of strawberries, raspberries, wrapped in vanilla and sweet spice. Clean and lively in the mouth where ripe tannins blend with nicely balanced structure. Fleshy and full of flavour.
