Mas Amiel Maury 2009

These Mas Amiel wines are ready and waiting for a cult following. The Vintage 2009 is puppy-love in a glass. Its nose is ripe but not sweet blackberry jam which pushes the substantial alcohol into submission or at least contrition. The flavours go in the same direction but of course the sweetness makes its appearance.; Café Loveless Blackberry Jam on a toasted and thickly buttered English muffin. 16% alcohol. Note by LAC. Food Pairings

This is a wine to consider with dark or bitter sweet chocolate. Nut meat tarts or jusrt nuts will be great as will any salty cheese.
