Chateau Mondesir-Gazin Blaye Cotes de Bordeaux 2010

Château Mondésir-Gazin 2010 Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux | 13.5% | Merlot 75% - Malbec 25% | ORGANIC | Laurence and Marc Pasquet are the couple behind this lovely red redolent of thick skinned fruit (blueberries, black currants, hackberries), cedar and fragrant Japanese hardwood incense –a wine that is flavorsome of all these and of woodsy fruits of the forest with an alpen evergreen element that compliments the whole. What a showcase red to display how only Blaye can blend Merlot and Malbec to incomparable heights all their own –worthy of its own appellation.
