Nederburg Cabernet Sauvignon 2010
When searching for a burly red, dense with well ripened fruit, heady with spice and sure to deliver punchy tannins and lasting flavors, South African Cabernet Sauvignon is the answer. With warm days and coastal influences, South Africa’s climate is similar to Napa Valley and there I shall rest my case. Cabernet Sauvignon grown here is not the reticent variety that takes decades in barrel although they’re certainly sure to evolve. No these are ripe Cabernets with generous cigar box, full brambly fruit, and a penchant for lingering aromas and a lasting finish.

Excellent served with robust dishes such as patés and steaks, as well as full-bodied dishes such as beef stroganoff, winter stews, roasts and mature cheeses.
