Nikolaihof Gruner Veltliner Hefeabzug 2009

Nikolaihof 2009 Hefeabzug Gruner Veltliner Wachau
Knowing these are one of the great examples of the Demeter certified Biodynamic producers whose cellar dates back to the age of the ancient Romans, one always leans in a bit closer and is more attentive knowing this wine will deliver no matter how high ones expectations and sure enough it does: a glowing nose of cactus jam with every complexion of limes and melons lead onto a vibrating, living and vibrant palate that swells and flexes and shows one what living wine feels like. Words will ever fall short on a wine so extraordinarily protean. Prepare to be dazzled and even so, you’ll still be dazzled –how often do we look forward to a recommended movie or a highly regarded book only for it to fall flat in its wilting anticlimax? I always anticipate this Gruner Veltliner and have yet find it anything but exceedingly generous and compelling. 11.5%
