Novelty Hill Syrah 2010

Meatier and more savory and brighter than many alternatives –that are more heavyset and out of balance. This is almost more Northern Rhône in its herbal-come-licorice like lovage note and that meaty, smoky aroma that pulls the ripe plums across the palate with their tart skins and then caps off with thick skinned blueberry fruit through the finish. Hats off to winemaker Mike Januik –this is outstanding.
Wine review by Nicholas Livingston, June 2013

Sticks to the glass as it sticks to your ribs when you take it in. Dense and rich in indigo color. Nose of roasted cherries. Front is beautifully inviting and rich from the start. There is a middle of spicy pork fat and a rich finish soft in nature but retaining a very pretty freshness. ABV: 14.4%.
