Oxford Landing Merlot 2012
Ripened under the South Australian sun, this sustainable Merlot is generous on the nose with boysenberries and currant leaf, black currants woodsy scents like mossy beds under pines. The palate is awash in the fruit found on the nose but bless me: it’s downright crisp (!) with an even keeled acidity, velvety tannins, sandalwood scented low notes a high toned finish –this is poised for the table as all wines ought to be but are increasingly tough to find –this on the other hand is terrific.

Food Pairings
Most any meat; really, lamb, beef, pork, chicken, duck. Has an affinity for tomatoes and mushrooms.
