Paso a Paso Organic Tempranillo 2009

While Tempranillo comes in a wide range of styles, I am beginning to fear that modern style wine making is stripping its character right out from under it. Not so with this wine. It’s got depth, spice, earth and core fruit that add to the rustic charm which so many Rioja’s used to possess. The fact that it should retail at about $10.99 and is organic is a double bonus!

Expert Review

"The 2009 Organic is a 100% Tempranillo made from certified organically grown grapes and aged for 6 months in French oak.
Spicy blackberries, violets, and tobacco notes compose the nose of this savory, well-balanced, intense effort. It is a very good value that will provide enjoyment for another 3-4 years."
