Pewsey Vale Riesling 2014
This winery and this region are the source of some fascinating Rieslings. Fresh off a tasting of 20 Rieslings from Germany's fine and very individual growing regions this wine is still so unique a Riesling, so sensitive to its terroir. The nose is a cross between steely Saar wine and petrol Rheingau aromas, but also fennel bulbs; terrific. Quite viscous, tart apple and grapefruit. Verbena finish. I love Riesling! 12.5% ABV
