Ponzi Pinot Noir Reserve 6/750 2015
A blend of LIVE Certified Sustainable fruit from Ponzi’s Aurora and Avellana Vineyards, as well as certified sustainable fruit from Bieze, Gemini, Gran Moraine, Sunset View, Wahle, Linda Vista, Sufi, Lazy River and Zenith Vineyards. Fermented in small lots and aged in French oak barrels (35% new) for 11 months, this Pinot Noir has a compelling nose that explodes with intriguing aromas of black cherry, dark chocolate, spiced rhubarb, cigar box and dried Ancho pepper. The structured palate has a sweet middle defined by spiced Amarena cherries, black pepper, graphite and dried cranberry. The finish is long and elegant with ripe red fruit lingering throughout.
