Prieler Blaufrankisch Johanneshohe 2009

Prieler Blaufränkisch Johanneshöhe 2009: (alcohol 13%) A crazy nose of cherries in iodine blow your mind on this bracingly interesting wine. If the nose doesn’t snatch your mind’s eye maybe the beautiful bright purple hue will entice you to further jump in. When you do you will find a juicy front of lovely red fruit. As the wine moves across the palate you feel the mouth deepen and become more lush with back pinnings of white pepper and a finish of little dusty acid. There is a lovely balance in this wine that screams for summer red drinking. Delightful.

Food Pairings

Think of the elegant end of Pinot Noir foods; salmon, veal as in Oscar or Blanquette de Veau. Chicken and game birds.
